Dynamic microphones

How it works:

A dynamic, or moving-coil microphone, has a small moviing coil, which can move inside the magnetic field of a permanent magnet.

A thin diafragm, connected to it, moves under the influence of sound, thus creating a electrical signal.

A headphone uses the same dynamic principle, but reversed

Most dynamics are directional, but they can also have an omni pattern.
